You will work in our highly passionate, professional and enthusiastic advisory team. Our team partner with their respective portfolios to support the Ministry (people leaders and employees) in all areas of operational and strategic HR. You will gain exposure to work with every level of Manager at the Ministry, to operate as their trusted advisor on day-to-day HR issues, and to input into HR strategy, policy, and practices.

The opportunities to develop are endless. With a big programme of work there is always something to keep you engaged and challenged. Bargaining, the review of our job families, our remuneration and performance reviews and developing our ER toolkit are just some of the interesting pieces of work you could get stuck into. There are also opportunities to work in collaboration with wider teams within the Ministry supporting work programmes as well as partnering across People and Capability.

We are on a journey of moving towards a business partnering model, this role will be integral in that transition and how the people and capability team can better support and enable the business to deliver on their important work programmes.

- Previous experience in a generalist Senior HR Advisory role
- Sound experience in the management of complex employment relationship issues
- Demonstrated experience working with a wide variety and complexity of HR issues
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and identify their needs quickly and effectively
- A solution focussed mindset with a truly collaborative, business partnering work style.
