Our Opportunity
We are looking for a Commercial Manager Sales & Distribution to join our Auckland Head Office, Highbrook business district, East Tmaki team on a permanent full-time basis.
As the Commercial Manager Sales & Distribution, you will be responsible in providing strategic financial analysis to the business, forecasting and Budgeting down to gross margin, supporting strategy development and prioritisation of initiatives through expert Commercial and Financial analysis and maintain governance and guidance in Champions pricing strategy.
You will provide support to the GM of Finance and wider business, as well as being responsible for the management, leadership and coaching of a growing Commercial & Finance team (3 FTE)
As a valued business partner, provide advice and analysis, to drive effective management decision making and continuous performance improvement. This passionate and enthusiastic person who is not afraid of the breadth of the position can take charge and enjoy contributing to our exciting business success.
**Key responsibilities**:
Support gross margin commentary and analysis to understand the material drivers.
Provide a framework for the tracking and delivering key initiatives within the budget.
Ensure adequate pricing guidelines are in place and are being adhered to and play a lead role in building a pricing structure for Customers.
Liaise with the sales team and provide support in strategic decision making across the business.
Support the Sales team in presentations and price negotiations with Customers.
Supporting and Business Partnering Head of Supply Chain.
Be a key member of the Finance leadership team.
Provide on-going analytical and financial modelling support to the wider business.
Ensure the highest standards of corporate governance and supporting yearly Audits.
Ensure the Commercial Finance team provides timely and relevant financial information supported by key insights.
5-10 years Finance/Commercial experience gained in a complex manufacturing environment (FMCG) will be preferred
To be considered for this position you will ideally be qualified accountant (CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) preferably gained in the FMCG industry.
Demonstrated ability and experience in Business Partnering, presenting recommendations and influencing decisions through data, financials and insights.
Ability to analyse large volumes of information, identify patterns and challenge assumptions
Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills, with strong commercial awareness and an analytical mindset. These technical skills must be coupled with the ability to effectively communicate with and influence a wide variety of non-finance stakeholders.
Proficient numeracy and computer literacy skills
Excellent team building, collaboration and partnering skills, with aptitude for getting things done through both formal and informal channels
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and execute multiple competing tasks.
Enthusiasm for automation and use of systems to improve efficiencies and drive business performance.
