At Manatū Hauora - Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.
The Office of the Deputy Director-General provides support to the Deputy Director-General by coordinating advice, ensuring efficient and effective directorate-wide business activities, including business planning, reporting, process improvement and the machinery of government functions to enable the smooth running of the Public Health Agency.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
As the Senior Advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the reporting function for the Public Health Agency particularly the weekly report to the Minister. Bring your business understanding, coordination and analysis expertise and your relationship management skills to work with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of key reporting advice across the Directorate.
Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring
- Relevant technical/professional qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Excellent attention to detail, written and oral communication, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills, especially stakeholder engagement and management
- The ability to analyse information from multiple sources to gauge accuracy and consistency of that information
- A sound understanding of the machinery of government.
- Financial and contract administration experience
- An understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations
