Reporting into the GM, the National Sales Manager is a key leadership role within the business and is responsible for the strategic sales direction and go to market execution for the business across all channels (Foodservice, FMCG retail & Contract works) and hence will drive sales and revenue performance nationally. Your role will be part of the company executive team driving the future strategic direction in conjunction with your peers.

Your role will be varied and challenging and whilst not exhaustive key focus areas will include;
- Strategically driving bottom line growth by optimising opportunity.
- Negotiating & presenting win-win outcomes for the business and customer.
- Managing the annual promotional programme and product mix ratio to achieve required financial targets.
- Actively being the voice / advocate of the customer within the organisation.
- Building and leveraging internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery of account / category objectives.
- successful completion of joint business plans and category reviews

Your background ideally needs to come from National Account or Category Management within a medium to large FMCG / Food Manufacturing Company. To be successful in the role you will demonstrate sound commercial acumen and communication skills, strong strategic planning ability, as well as utilising data and insights to build effective strategies and plans. Naturally you will be good with numbers and have that unique blend of best practice corporate experience but also entrepreneurial flair to roll up your sleeves and leverage opportunities. You will have current, strong retailer relationships and a clear understanding of the key levers for success in the FMCG/Food service/Contract Manufacturing sectors and able to demonstrate how to build mutually beneficial customer partnerships. Above all you will be a strong leader who can bring teams together, sell the vision and influence thinking.
