**Job Description**:
**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

Here at Contact we are leading the way with decarbonising Aotearoa, this role is an awesome opportunity to be right amongst it and make an impact Reporting into the Head of Regulatory & Government Relations, this opportunity gives you the lead for ESG reporting at Contact.

Your day to day will be to deliver best practice financial accounting discipline to ESG data collection and reporting, that supports Contact’s position as a leading integrated energy business and NZX listed company.

You’ll also manage our external reporting and audit requirements for ESG data, including for our integrated report, investor information, and others, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).

On top of having the ability to work remote from anywhere in NZ, in this role you will be a part of Contacts awesome Corporate Affairs team

**Qualifications**:
**Ko wai koe | About you**

This won’t be your first rodeo Ideally coming from a financial/environmental reporting background, you’ll have the following which will help you grab this role by the horns and make it your own

**Personality**:

- Not afraid to ask the hard questions is key You will be working with a variety of stakeholders, questions will impact how successful your process mapping is
- Self-driven is key. This role is very self-steering, you will need to have a drive to go after what is important and what you need to get there.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across the business with key stakeholders including strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation

**Experience**:

- Batchelors qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability or similar. Or CA qualified looking to branch out into the ESG world.
- An awareness of accounting systems, procedures, reporting, and other business systems
- Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks such as Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) requirements, Global Report Initiative (GRI), GHD inventory and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)
- Experience with evaluating processes and controls and implementing change
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and presenting, articulating complex ideas and issues in simple, and concise language.
