Account Manager

Our client is a leading provider of proactive IT Managed Services across New Zealand and Australia. They are looking to hire an Auckland-based Account Manager who will develop and generate business opportunities for the company through existing client relationships. Through constructive and focused relationships, you will manage client accounts to a high standard ensuring they are satisfied with products and services provided.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Retention of assigned clients, protection and growth of associated recurring revenue, resolving any customer issues as they arise, and ensuring assigned customers receive service consistent with company standards and policies.
- Proactively forge relationships with clients, developing an understanding of their business and technology requirements in order to present suitable solutions as part of an ongoing IT roadmap.
- Drive upsell into assigned clients of projects, additional managed services, and procurement of hardware and software. Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline forecasting.
- Develop account strategies and plans to deliver revenue and margin sales targets, ensure profitability, and maximise opportunities to increase business.
- Maintain effective industry and product knowledge and provide feedback to the wider business on customer and market demands, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with the technical and project management teams to ensure infrastructure projects meet the brief and are delivered efficiently within timeframes and budget.
- Demonstrate leadership of the virtual team to effectively manage the overall client relationship.
- Complete regular activities/call cycles, conduct quarterly and monthly meetings, and deliver associated reporting in accordance with company policies.
- Represent the company and sell with integrity at all times.
**Skills & Experience**:
- At least 3 years of relevant account management experience with an ability to sell innovation and ideas.
- Proven IT solutions sales experience & project management experience
- A strong customer service delivery focus, with a high level of analytical/problem-solving skills
- IT product and technology expertise and strong business acumen
- Excellent customer relationship-building skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills
