Manager, Account Management
Overview
Are you ready to join a fast-paced, high performing team with the opportunity to own and drive your partner accounts for success and growth? We are looking for someone that is passionate about payments and developing strong relationships with partners, and who strives for results, helping Mastercard power its partners for success.
- In a client-facing role, you will be working with several of our existing partner issuing banks, representing Mastercard in how we collaborate and support these relationships
- Responsible for setting sales strategies as it relates to these accounts, aligned with the strategy here in New Zealand in achieving sales goals to drive market share, volume and revenue growth
- Lead and manage existing partner relationships, working to identify and support the execution of strategic opportunities based on partner needs
- Collaborate with our partners to deliver customised solutions and comprehensive consulting support on payments and product development/innovation
Responsible for pipeline management at the account level
Role
- Contribute to the achievement of sales and net revenue targets
- Assist with analysis of our partners’ business through profitability modelling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis
- Design strategies, messaging and proposals for partners that improves revenue generations and mutual profitability
- Support the management of key partner relationships at different levels across their organization
- Proactively identify bank’s challenges, business drivers and program growth needs, advocating internally to gain support on execution against customer objectives.
- Collaborate with the wider account team to plan, execute and monitor progress against annual business plans
- Assist in local projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills for both in-person and virtual settings; the ability to create strong written presentations and tell a compelling story through data
- Demonstrate competence in working with multiple stakeholders across different teams and geographies within Mastercard.
All About You
- Proven experience in not only building solid working relationships with clients using a collaborative style that ultimately drives growth and achieving results
- A solid understanding of payments, how banks operate and knowledge of Mastercard's core products, rules, and services
- Consistently delivered thoughtful market and business analysis for customer accounts
- Business Development experience is a plus as we are consistently looking for opportunities within the existing accounts to work with our partners to evolve customer value propositions and innovate.
