We are embarking on a strategy to reposition Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga/ Ministry of Education's, digital landscape, and better connect the provision of digital services within the Ministry and, increasingly, to customers across the sector, partner agencies, and ultimately teachers/principals, ākonga and their whānau. As a member of Te Uepū Matihiko (Digital/IT Group) you will help champion this change as we transform the way we work.

This newly created role of Digital Delivery Planner will work to understand the delivery demand pipeline, ensuring effective planning and resourcing to support the supply of digital services.
Providing a high level of expertise and advice, you will facilitate development of the Digital Group's work programme and resource plan, and identify ways to optimise our resources. You will bring a broad understanding of ICT technology domains, project management and technology delivery methods (such as agile), enterprise resource planning and performance management systems.

**The scope of the role includes**:

- Collaborating with the Leadership Team to plan, prioritise and manage the enterprise work and resource plan for Matihiko | Digital Group, to support delivery of product roadmaps
- Developing and maintaining an aggregated view of our product and services roadmaps in collaboration with the Architecture and Product/Platform teams
- Continuously managing and monitoring our portfolio, supporting Matihiko | Digital Group to re-align resources to changing priorities, to ensure that the portfolio remains relevant to business owners, customers, and end-users
- Identifying and mapping the dependencies and relationships between digital products and investments to provide an enterprise level view that supports development, change and delivery
- Ensuring resource risks are adequately captured and mitigated throughout planning and reporting, and action is taken to resolve issues
- Providing leadership, direction and best practice, including managing projects to uplift Matihiko | Digital Group's enterprise resource planning and reporting capability.
- Preparing strategic and operational advice and reports, including options papers, project plans, reporting and dashboards.

Roles are located in Wellington though we are open to remote working with regular travel to Wellington as required.
Salary band $114,923 - $139,573 + 3% kiwi saver
- The appointing salary will depend on level of experience, skills, and relativity.

With your strategic and analytical mindset, you will be comfortable analysing a range of complex information to drive short term improvements while maintaining a clear strategic long-term view. You will navigate changing priorities with ease and appreciate the impact of technology change in the wider context of business capabilities, people, and processes.

**You will bring the following**:

- Experience in project planning and resource management using Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (such as Psoda, Oracle Primavera)
- Highly developed quantitative data analysis and Excel skills
- Familiarity with public sector financial management and accounting, particularly cost accounting
- Experience developing data-driven reports to inform management decision-making and enhance organisational service delivery.
- Experience leading and working across cross-functional teams providing collaborative and practical solutions
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and deliver detailed information in plain language
- Excellent business acumen with an understanding of the machinery of government and the IT industry.
