We are looking for that certain someone that can fit into our diverse and vibrant technical services team. As a 4D planner you will be working with our engineers, programmers and surveyors to establish and maintain project schedules and 4D models to enable integrated programme development, representing work sequencing across a variety of civil projects. There will be scope to grow and be involved with other functions as your capability and capacity allows.

**The opportunity**:

- Link project schedules with design models to create 4D visual animations of sequences of construction activities. This will be a vital communication tool to a variety of stakeholders, including the construction team, clients, designers and the public.
- Work with tender and delivery teams to clarify story boards to inform 4D programmes.
- Run 'what if' scenarios against baseline 4D models to identify schedule opportunities.
- Model, or arrange the modelling, of temporary works and equipment for input into construction sequences.
- Run physical and time-based clash detection of design, logistics and temporary works against the schedule.
- Create lookahead outputs for team briefings to communicate and clarify the vision of work to be done.
- Integrate models and information provided by clients, designers, contractors and suppliers.
- Develop and build standard libraries and appearances to ensure consistent appearance of 4D animations.
- Support others in creating and understanding material required for the input to 4D programmes.
- A passion for digital with a knowledge and understanding of Construction methodologies
- Have experience working with MS Project, Primavera P6 software or similar
- Ideally have an engineering qualification, trade background or a discipline with Project Management
- Advantageous, if you have experience using SketchUp, AutoCAD or other industry recognised drafting software, however training will be provided
- A nice to have would be experience in Synchro 4D or similar virtual construction simulation software, training will be provided otherwise
