**Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity**

Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development, has a Senior Analyst role in the People & Capability Directorate within the Organisational Support Puni. This role will contribute to the development and advancement of Te Puni Kokiri's people analytics function. The function will deliver solutions, products and services that unlocks the value of people data and information for key decision makers across the organisation.

As the Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the following priority areas:

- Internal reporting including Monthly/ Quarterly Dashboards for SLT and Managers.
- OIAs and WPQs.
- Ad hoc data requests.
- Other projects involving people data.

In addition, the Senior Analyst will also support and contribute to the following priority areas:

- Public Service Workforce Data Reports
- Pay Gap Action Plans
- Public Service Pay Equity Claims
- Bargaining and remuneration
- Other projects involving people data

You will be able to build relationships with stakeholders, both within your own directorate and different business groups, to identify, analyse and integrate insight needs and determine the team's work programme's priorities and deliverables.

To be successful in the role, you should have:

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a Human Resources function.
- A high level of analytical skill and problem solving.
- Ability to work with complex quantitative and qualitative data and information.
- Ability to investigate presenting issues, identify appropriate data, use the data to validate the issue, identify lead indicators and root causes, and give actionable advice based on this analysis.
- Experience working with People information databases and systems.
- Experience working across the Public Service to achieve Government wide initiatives.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of other analytical and data visualisation systems and tools.
