Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
We have a fixed term opportunity available for an experienced business support professional to join New Zealand Food Safety as Group Coordinator for Verification Services. As Group Coordinator, you will provide management support to the Director, as well as support to the wider Verification Services directorate. Verification Services (VS) provides a range of food safety and biosecurity verification and certification services to support market access strategies and setting standards.
As you will be supporting members of the senior leadership team, you'll need to be adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work with different personalities. You will also contribute to cross branch activities, to build a cohesive approach to business support, and support priority events and specific pieces of work.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking for career development and has an interest in learning about primary industries.

**In this role, you would be expected to**:

- Regulate the Director's daily schedule to ensure a seamless and clear flow of information and related commitments through effective diary, event and meeting management and the provision of effective personal assistance/secretarial services.
- Facilitate the smooth running of the Director's offices by providing general administrative and logístical support.
- Provide support for relevant MPI systems and databases particularly those relating to corporate.
- Coordinate corporate service management activities by assisting with budget, personnel, and IT processes, as required.
- Identify any relevant system and process improvement opportunities to assist in identifying enhancement opportunities.

Mōu - About You
This opportunity would suit someone who has experience working in an office environment, even if you have not been an Executive or Group Coordinator before.
Experience in administration tasks and business support would be helpful as well as a customer centric focus. You will have great inter-personal skills and be someone who has strong time-management.

**The ideal person will be able to demonstrate**:

- Experience in an office environment
- Knowledge of administration and business support systems and processes
- Experience of records management systems
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to prioritise and handle pieces of work simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

You will work as part of a national team that compromises of those specialising in verification, certification and biosecurity as well operational and technical advice. The ideal applicant will enjoy collaborating with key stakeholders to assist in problem solving, business support and event planning.
