- Nursing professionals with a background in oncology/haematology and/or clinical trial experience
- Health science qualified (e.g., biomed / health science bachelors etc) with recent clinical trial research experience
- Experience coordinating clinical trials in a healthcare environment (oncology desired)
- Allied health professionals with oncology research experience (e.g., pharmacists, radiation therapists)

**Clinical trials at Icon Group**

To help deliver a robust trials portfolio, Icon Group work with over 200 collaborators including Contract Research Organisations (CROs), commercial and non-commercial organisations (including the pharmaceutical industry hospital and universities), industry vendors and service providers. We deliver Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry and collaborative groups, as well as in-house investigator-initiated trials across our multidisciplinary clinical team, clinical registries, compounding, physics and dosimetric research.

Icon’s growing research footprint is comprised of over 90 principal investigators working across 20 cancer centres in Australia, with a comprehensive workforce of experienced researchers and administrative team members who support clinicians and the delivery of clinical trials across several Icon locations.

Icon offers Australia’s largest private cancer clinical trials program. We have over 120 clinical trials open for recruitment and over 800 patients currently on active trials across haematology, medical oncology and radiation oncology and conduct trials from phase I through to phase IV.

**Kōrero mō te tūranga, About the Role**:
Exciting brand new permanent full-time opportunity for a current or aspiring Clinical Research Coordinator to join our ever expanding Research team. You will work with our existing oncology, haematology and radiation oncology team at our Bowen Icon Cancer Centre. This is a brand-new launch for Icon Research at this location, with this position leading the sites clinical trial portfolio under guidance from the Site Manager, and Senior Operations Manager, Research Coordination.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide high level support to Icon Principal Investigators in the conduct and day to day management of clinical trials
- Manage and conduct the clinical trial portfolio including the trial coordination, recruitment, participant and team member education and communication
- Ensure that clinical research carried out within Icon is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, the NHMRC National Statement and Icon policies
- Contribute to the financial management of the business unit to ensure that trial participants are tracked and patient payment data is submitted in a timely fashion
- Communicate effectively with trial participants to ensure that trial related procedures are booked appropriately and compliance to attendance for trial visits is maintained
- Actively attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders
