**Company Description**:
The Operations Intelligence Specialist is responsible for supporting the rapid identification and delivery of: operational intelligence, data mining, reporting, dashboarding, and production of analytical solutions.
You will be responsible for the daily management, updating, and distribution of all existing scheduled reports, dashboards, and associated operational artefacts.
**Responsibilities will include**
- Working with both the Lead and Senior Operations Intelligence Specialists, internal and external stakeholders, and interested parties to develop and analyse operational intelligence needs.
- Providing input into business requirements for the design of appropriate solutions.
- Assisting with determining and analysing commonly used queries, reports and dashboards.
- Assisting in the research and investigation of operational problems and provides input into the creation of data models and solutions that assist with both problem analysis and resolution.
- Adherence to all operational intelligence and business standards.
- Verifies collected data is within required quality standards.
- Maintains the quality of operational metadata repository/data dictionary by adding, modifying, and deleting data.
- Escalates operational data quality issues as needed to senior team resources and/or management.
- Supports team and operational evaluations as needed.
- Develops, executes, and documents user test plans.
- Provides support to test teams.
- Resolves issues based on test results or escalates as needed to senior team members and/or management.
- Assists in the development of end user training materials.
**Experience & Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree in related field
- 1-2 years of technical experience in an Operational Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Analytics, information centric or related technical field.
- Moderate understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse concepts and environments.
- Exposure to operational intelligence toolsets - Splunk, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS or equivalent technologies (OBIEE, Cognos and Business Objects etc).
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries to extract data from a variety of internal sources (preferable experience in Oracle 11g and 12c environments).
- With support, ability to quickly, and effectively, translate operational need into tangible solutions.
- Good documentation skills for process flows, business rules and technical documentation
- Good priority management skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple activities in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and oral skills
- Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Passion and enthusiasm in Operational Intelligence and data centric environments.
- Quick to learn new skills and tools
- Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment
