We are looking for a Design and Project Lead to join our close-knit Emergency Vehicle Department team based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

In this role, you will work closely with the customers, production and leadership team and will be responsible for the design, quotation and project implementation of our emergency vehicles, such as police dog units.

**What your day-to-day will look like**:

- Work directly with customers on specifications and design for current and upcoming projects
- Form and provide quotations to customers
- Perform design and revision work on current and upcoming projects
- Manage SOP and production files for the team
- Compile bill of materials and work with key suppliers
- Liaise with key staff to ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Manage the production flow of the project
- Lead the design and project team
- Ensure fit-outs meet quality standards and any relevant compliances.

**What do you need?**
- Design experience in SolidWorks
- Project management experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement experience
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring a team
- Sound technical skills with an outstanding work ethic
- Strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills
- Class 1 full license.
