Are you an experienced Senior Network Designer with a passion for designing distribution network and assets? Do you have a keen eye for detail and love working with complex systems? Are you striving to continually up the scope of what can be achieved?

**The Role**

This is a newly created role due to growth. Now is your chance to support the Network Design Manager; to produce design deliverables and quotations for customer-initiated works, the asset replacement program and exciting capital projects. This role assumes the 2ic position to the Network Design Manager, and in their absence, ensures the team operates cohesively, with uninterrupted workflow across project delivery.

As the 2ic, an extremely important part of this role will provide technical leadership within the team and the wider business, mentoring design staff within the Network Design Team whilst providing technical thought leadership around overhead line design for the organisation.

**You’ll also**:

- Analyse, scope and design electricity distribution network solutions that meet customer and business needs
- Oversee and review cost estimate and designs, for both external and internal customers
- Support the development of network and asset standards, design guidelines, with a particular focus on overhead work

**What you bring to the role**:

- A passion for mentoring, coaching and building competence in your area of expertise
- A National Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or individuals with a proven industry knowledge of distribution networks
- If not formally qualified, then you’ll bring at least 7+ years of experience in electricity distribution network design
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Experience with relevant software, including GIS, CAD, CATAN and MS Office
- Line design skills and experience to AS/NZS 7000
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
