**We are on the search for a focused, driven Sales Account Manager for our Christchurch branch.**

This role is to assist us with the growth and development of our customer base in the Foodservices category. This will ideally suit someone who has some sales experience especially in the foodservices industry.

Service Foods is one of New Zealand's largest and fastest growing food service distribution businesses. We directly import over 4000 products from over 20 countries and supplement this with 8000 plus locally produced products. We supply to Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels, Quick Service Restaurant Chains, Manufacturers, Retailers, Distributors, and exporters nationwide.

With over 800+ team members, operating more than 200 trucks with 17 strategically placed branches across New Zealand, you’ll be part of a team that ensures service remains second to none.

**The role**:
Being an Account Manager with us offers a great blend of business development and account management. Most of your time will be spent prospecting your network to target a wide variety of different-sized clients across the Marlborough region. You will be supported by the wider team to succeed and be given autonomy to use your initiative to develop your own pipeline and build ongoing customer relations. The Account Manager will also
- Spend time with their inherited portfolio of warm accounts to manage and grow, ensuring to keep an active call cycle to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Will ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses against sales target.
- Work closely with our Procurement and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends, customer and supplier needs.

As you will be playing a lead role in capturing sales opportunities, your passion for building rapport and long-lasting customer relationships is crucial.

You will
- Be a confident and effective communicator
- Have relevant trade/hospitality experience.
- Have the problem-solving skills employing a solutions-focused approach to partner with our clients and grow with them.
- Intermediate computer skills
- A tertiary qualification is desirable
- Have good grasp of analytical and product knowledge is essential to deliver exceptional results.

Lead generation and business development are key elements of the role so your strong network of contacts will be advantageous.
