Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Reporting team within the wider People and Capability team has a particular focus on the delivery of the Department's key reporting documents. The Senior Adviser Reporting is responsible for contributing to key departmental reporting services, including the delivery of the Department's Annual Report, Statement of Intent, Select Committee responses and Ministerial Services performance indicators.

**The role accountabilities and requirements include**:

- Managing arrangements for the development and review of long-term plans and reporting documents (Statement of Intent, Annual Reports, Select Committee etc).
- Assisting with the provision of information required for Select Committees., including background material for members of the Executive Leadership Team.
- Developing and building strong working relationships with managers, team leaders, and other staff across Corrections.
- Working with the Manager Ministerial Services, Principal Adviser Reporting, and the other Senior Adviser Reporting to ensure the Executive Leadership Team and other senior managers are provided with regular performance reporting that assists in informed decision making.
- Presenting complex information including legislation, policy and procedural standards, in plain language and incorporate suitable contextual information.
- Manage and build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister's office.
- Develop a knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation and regulations, the Department's strategic objectives and the related public, political, and cultural environment.
- Supporting the wider Ministerial Services team as required, including preparing responses to official correspondence, ministerial correspondence, Chief Executive correspondence, parliamentary questions, Official Information and Privacy Act requests, ensuring that all responses meet agreed standards.
- Reviewing official correspondence for quality, consistency, and timeliness of responses.

We are looking for experience in a similar role in a Public Sector or other large diverse organisation. It might suit a person working in a Ministerial Services role who is looking to broaden their skills into the reporting area.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary band (85% - 120%) for this position is $91,953 - $129,816. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
