General Manager - Finance and Technology Port Marlborough is situated in the heart of the beautiful Marlborough Sounds.

Operating across multiple sites in Waitohi-Picton, Motuweka-Havelock and the picturesque Marlborough Sounds, they facilitate a variety of shipping and marine activities, including Cook Strait ferry operations, cargo exports, and aquaculture services, while also managing three significant marinas.

Role Overview As the General Manager - Finance & Technology, you will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, leading Port Marlborough’s financial and digital strategies.
In this role, you will provide strategic financial insights to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors, manage budgeting and forecasting, oversee cash flow and financial reporting, and ensure the integrity of the company’s financial performance.
You will also ensure compliance with corporate governance and manage business risk.
Additionally, you will drive the company’s digital transformation, working to secure a robust and innovative IT environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in finance and technology to support Port Marlborough’s vision and values: Hauora (Wellbeing), Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship), Mahi Tahi (Teamwork), Pono (Integrity), and Kairangatira (Delivering Excellence).
About you We are looking for an energetic, inspiring CA/CPA qualified senior finance leader, ideally with experience in the infrastructure, property or logistics sectors.
You will have technical proficiency in financial and risk management matters, coupled with a strong background in digital strategy implementation and IT security.
Excellent communication skills, relationship management, and strategic vision is required.
