To drive profitable and sustainable market share growth within Sport Specialist accounts and the relevant categories, while adhering to and respecting the image of the adidas Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Net sales of assigned Specialty accounts (Shoe Clinic/Smiths Sports Shoes/Torpedo 7/TAF/Katmandu/Football Specialty) – across categories Running, Football, Outdoor, & NZ Distributor.
  • Management of cost center budget and customer 'sales working budget'.
  • Management and execution of GTM process, inclusive of forecasting, pre-lines and sell-in customer meetings, range selections, in line with seasonal focus products, technologies and concepts.
  • Develop and Execute Account Marketing plans specific to the customer portfolio and strategic priorities.
  • Weekly/Monthly - Order Book Management.
  • Sell Through Reporting and Analysis.
  • Understand both the Performance and Technical eco-system and identify opportunities to develop new business, being an advocate for the assigned Key Account/s.
  • Strategic Account Plans with quarterly business reviews.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and propose/initiate/take actions.
  • Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customers' performances (all KPIs including Pre-orders, NS, Conversion, Returns, Credit Notes, Trade Investments).
  • Visit customers regularly respecting the store visit guidelines (VM, re-orders, POS-material, storytelling etc.).
  • Product Tech Training with retail staff and Podiatrists to grow credibility and sell out.
Key Relationships
  • Key Account External Stakeholders – Build genuine sustainable working relationships with all relative account Buyers/Planners and Franchisee Partners.
  • Brand Team – ensure campaigns and communications align with Brand strategy.
  • Concept to Consumer (CTC/Category) Team – guarantee product allocation and category strategy. Advocate for product segmentation changes where required.
  • Finance Team – manage provisions, credit limits, new account applications, ensuring business growth and continuity.
  • Supply Chain Team – manage the order book to guarantee the product availability at the right location, right time, right quantities.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities
  • Industry - Ideally experience in a Technical Footwear Role capacity or has an understanding / passion in the sports you will be working with ie: Hiking, Football, Running etc.
  • Exposure - Sports, Account Management.
  • Functional - > 4-5 years sales as Key Account Executive or in the Field.
