Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Warehouse Group Full time
Company Description

We're currently seeking internal interest for a parental leave contract, starting ASAP until April 2025

The Warehouse Group looks after some of Aotearoa's most famous and beloved retail brands, including The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming. They stay beloved because we're always working to deliver relevant and exciting customer (and employee) experiences to New Zealanders, including a growing focus on doing good for the community and keeping sustainability top of mind in everything we do.

Job Description

As a Workforce Planner (Chapter Member – Operations Support), you will join a passionate team who oversee the labour models for Noel Leeming Group - ultimately playing a pivotal role in improving productivity capability for our stores.

This role sits within our Store and Sales Operations Chapter Area who are experts in developing and coordinating the right environment to create great retail customer experiences, and exceed sales and services targets. Our Workforce Team has an influential role in helping our brands allocate resources within the ever-changing retail environment we operate in.

You will do this by:

  • Determining an ideal store workload capacity and develop and implement a labour scheduling model

  • Always be looking for optimisation opportunities while developing a deep understanding of the complexity of our store formats
  • Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities that reduce the cost of doing business within a range of productivity targets
  • Supporting multiple stakeholders to drive maximum value from process change that reduces the stores cost of doing business
  • Providing insightful analysis and present timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management reporting for all relevant Business Units
Qualifications

You'll also have both an analytical and logical mind (which will be called upon daily) and you will be motivated by a role which challenges you daily, tests your agility and satisfies your desire to achieve results. Equally important is your excellent communication and relationship management skills as you will need to be confident expressing your opinion with your cross functional team and your chapter.

Our wish list also includes:

  • Good understanding of retail systems & processes
  • A lean thinking & continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of Time and Motion study
  • Advanced analytical & excel skills
