Resource Management Planner

Full-time

Engagement type: Permanent - Employee

Department: Network Performance

**Energise your career**
If you like the idea of working on projects that make a fundamental difference to the lives of people in your community, then perhaps you should think about a role at Vector.

So much of what we take for granted in our everyday lives is enabled by the work that Vector is doing to ensure our infrastructure is fit for purpose for a rapidly changing future.

Across our network we are transforming the way that Auckland's critical infrastructure is delivered through high-tech data-led solutions and customer first thinking. It's a dynamic, energising place to work because what you do here matters to everyone.

**About the role**
As Resource Management Planner, you’ll help manage our resource consenting and compliance responsibilities to support the efficient operation, maintenance and construction of the Auckland electricity distribution network.

Working closely with internal and external planners, engineers and project managers, you’ll oversee our resource consenting and designation processes and contribute to plan changes and national policy and environmental statements.

**Who we are looking for**

We envisage you’ll have the following experience and attributes:

- Membership (or eligibility for membership) to the NZ Planning Institute and/or Resource Management Law Association
- A qualification plus experience in resource consenting. Exposure to infrastructure is advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between engineering and planning requirements
- You’ll be decisive, adept at making well-reasoned decisions backed by data.

**What we can offer you**
Whether it’s the opportunity to do meaningful mahi and build a legacy for Auckland and New Zealand, to work in an innovative and transformative sector, or our commitment to supporting your development, there’s a myriad of reasons to choose a career with Vector.

Find out more about working with us here.

We also offer:

- Free insurances, subsidised healthcare and an annual wellbeing grant
- A fun, flexible and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
- Flexibility, including the choice of working from home a couple of days a week, and flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
- Health and wellbeing support
- Great benefits that reflect the importance of family
