Risk Advisor - Corporate

What can you expect?

The prime responsibility for the Risk Advisor is to assist Client Executives in all aspects of client service, including face to face client contact, administration, technical support and business development. In association with the Marsh Client Operations (MCo) where applicable to ensure the accurate, efficient and timely production of all clients, insurer and policy related documentation.

Broader interactions with other practices ensuring instructions are conveyed correctly and actioned by the relevant parties.

We will count on you to:

  • Work actively with Client Executives to gain an understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs;
  • Implement renewal and broking strategies in accordance with instructions received from Client Executives ;
  • Assist Client Executives with the implementation of appropriate account retention and defence strategies;
  • Assist Client Executives and claims personnel with the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients;
  • Report and keep Client Executives up to date with client issues and work being completed.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of new technologies and capabilities of the Company
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production/processing of related documentation in association with the Marsh Client Operations.
  • Ensure that accurate up to date records on all clients are maintained at all times
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients

What you need to have:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Advice (Level 5)
  • Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivation for client services and solutions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
