We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with excellent leadership and people skills to join our high performing Specialist Trading team as Head of Specialty Operations.

With a minimum of 10 years in the New Zealand or international markets, this role will have you engaging with the locally based team of Ando Underwriters and support teams across Finance, Claims, and Compliance.

This role will involve working closely with the Head of the Specialty Trading and managing Syndicate relationships.

An attention to detail and strong presentation skills are key to making a success of this role that is truly unique and challenging.

As change is constant, you will also enjoy leading the implementation of process and product development within the team to ensure that both internal and external stakeholders are managed in line with our contractual obligations.


About the role:

Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you'll be responsible for: Managing the Specialty Trading Team Operations, Binder facilitation, and Coverholder requirements as prescribed by relevant Lloyds Syndicates.

Acting as a key operational point of contact for internal and external relationships.

Supporting the Head of Specialty Trading and senior leaders to ensure a strong control framework is developed across all aspects of the teams' operations.

Monthly Portfolio reporting to Syndicates, Underwriting & Claims.
Supporting Portfolio Heads in the collation and preparation of documentation for the annual renewal of Binders.
Ensuring alignment and consistency of delivery of current Specialty Trading team processes.
Identifying and developing performance improvements through the provision and communication of accurate data.
Building business brand by living values, collaborating with partners, and leading by example in an Ando way.
