About the role


We are looking for an experienced geospatial professional with great all round skills who is able to take on and complete a wide variety of geospatial tasks including solution deployment, data management, geospatial analysis and cartographic outputs.

This is a 6-month fixed term role to help the established GIS team with day to day operational tasks and assist with our GIS Transformation Project.


The role would suit a geospatial professional looking for varied fixed term role or a geospatial graduate looking to gain a wide range of experience.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support WEL's deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise System (web, mobile, & desktop)
  • Provide geospatial outputs and analysis to staff or external parties as required
  • Work as part of GIS team to help migrate current Hexagon/Oracle GIS to Esri Utility Network Management Extension (UNME)
  • Assist with configuration, maintenance and administration of WEL's ArcGIS Enterprise platform, including ArcGIS Pro, Portal and ArcGIS Online
  • Help develop ETL (Extract Transform and Load) processes using Safe Software's FME Enterprise
  • Provide support and training to users of GIS and assist with management of GIS and asset data

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of geospatial principles, practices, and delivery of geospatial solutions
  • Experience with Esri products, including ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise Portal and ArcGIS Online
  • Experience deploying, developing and supporting ArcGIS Pro, Explorer, Collector, Survey123, and other products in the Esri suite
  • Experience with Safe Software FME Desktop product for automating workflows, managing data transformation, and data analysis & reporting tasks
  • Experience with relational database environments and strong SQL skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both oral and written
  • Cooperative team player, with a demonstrated commitment to sharing information and knowledge
