Defence Digital Group's (DDG) purpose is to link our Force to the people, the information and the technology whilst they undertake their duties safeguarding Aotearoa New Zealand.

Recently, Service Management within Defence Digital, underwent a transformative change, now dedicated solely to connecting IT to our frontline forces.

As one of the leaders in the team, the Service Improvement Manager role will own key deliverables, such as, monitoring the performance of current IT services, identifying and roadmapping areas for consistent improvement, ensuring all are fit for purpose whilst delivering unsurpassed value and support to their customers.

The role will foster a culture of continuous improvement as part of a high performing team within DDG, and promoting ongoing improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and performance.

To be successful in this role, you will have worked in an IT customer centric service industry where it is imperative that the customer experience is as positive as it can be.

You will also need some experience in an ITIL/DevOps/Agile environment.

We are seeking someone who will bring a positive, go-getter attitude to the role, ready to talk the talk and walk and walk and get things done.

Service Management are all about delivery.

Bring your out of the box thinking to the role too, as we would love to hear your ideas and suggestions on how we can do things better.

You will have a few direct reports, and also be available to support, coach and mentor our people in junior roles.
