K'aute Pasifika has a well-established 20-year history of supporting people and their families to make meaningful changes that benefit their health and wellbeing, with their primary focus being to improve the holistic wellbeing of Pacific communities.

They are currently working towards transitioning into a new strategic integrated delivery framework, and into new purpose built facilities over the next months.


This new and exciting General Manager role has been created to work with and support the Chief Executive, the Executive Team and transition Board to ensure the ongoing delivery of existing operational services in the areas of health, education, employment and social services to Pasifika people in Hamilton.

The majority of these services are funded through contracts from central government and health providers, and the organisation has to ensure that all existing contractual delivery and reporting requirements are planned for and met.

In addition to these responsibilities, there will be the inspirational leadership and development of the skilled team leaders and managers of these areas.

It is a unique opportunity for an experienced business leader with well-developed general management skills, and who has a strong interest in the health and well-being of communities, to influence the day to day delivery of services, while also actively contributing to and supporting a process of organisational change


To be considered for this role, you will have worked in a senior community oriented executive leadership role in an organisation that has had required ongoing funding and associated service delivery, so you understand the importance of meeting funding expectations and people's needs.

You will have had good working relationships with local community groups, government agencies (including the Ministry of Health) and Te Whatu Ora Waikato.

You must have proven history of business planning and delivery, well developed financial and analytical skills and sound decision making capabilities.

Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills, along with a warm and engaging personal style, are also highly sought-after attributes.

A strong personal affinity and empathy with Pacific people is highly desirable.


This will be 12 month full time fixed term role, and will appeal to a senior executive manager wanting a role with variety, challenges and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Pasifika families and communities.
