Reporting to the Service Manager the purpose of this role is to to support the pricing of remedial works and new business, by providing accurate cost estimates, to secure ongoing work from existing and new clients including project opportunities in the Fire Protection sector.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Work closely with the Fire Protection Manager and Service Manager to ensure we have sufficient workload to meet current and future budget expectations;
  • Develop accurate cost estimates, for PPM agreements, small quoted repairs and fire alarm panel upgrades to allow customers to evaluate proposals for go/no-go decisions;
  • Provide detailed scope of works documents to allow secured works to enter into agreements and be handed over to the project team or service technicians for execution;
  • Ensure all projects are planned, executed and delivered in accordance with the agreed methodology, project timelines and within budget

To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant professional or technical tertiary qualifications
  • Ability to review (scope and price) maintenance, repairs, new installations, tenant fit outs, ranging in value from $2k to $250k
  • Intimate knowledge and experience in the Fire Protection industry
  • Sound knowledge of plant, materials, suppliers, construction methodologies, sub-contractors, and trades
  • Knowledge of building and service regulations and statutory obligations
  • Estimating or Quantity Surveying experience in the Fire Protection industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
