Mō tēnei tūranga - About the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity within our National Risk Reduction directorate.

Reporting to the Manager Risk Reduction and Investigations manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of risk reduction policies, processes and reporting to ensure the fire safety and fire prevention strategies are realised.

This role involves establishing and maintaining highly effective relationships and acting as a conduit between Fire and Emergency and key stakeholders.

Most exciting is the relationship you will build with our District risk reduction teams, providing advice and technical guidance that enables them to unleash their potential delivering against National initiatives.

  • Significant experience developing and implementing operational policy, processes, guidelines, and tools
  • Adept at building collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations
  • Experience conveying complex and technical information to a range of audiences
  • Significant experience building and fostering effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Sound understanding of the principles of risk management, including identification, mitigation, likelihood and consequence.
