This role is part of the Strategy and Corporate Group which enables Crown Law to deliver and perform at its best.

We provide a range of specialist services including people and capability; information and research; finance, planning and reporting; strategy development; communications; risk and assurance; and operational services and support.

Mō te Tūranga - About the Role

Our team has grown and we have lots to do so, we are on the lookout for an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Senior HR Advisor to back up the HR Manager and support the wider HR team.

In this role, you will be a key part of the team with influence to ensure our work meets the needs of the organisation.

We don't see a lot of employment relations cases here at Crown Law, so rather than 'fighting fires' you will use your expertise to continue the good work already underway to strengthen our HR foundations, provide business partnering support and advice to leaders and to provide leadership across the HR team.

This role is advertised as a secondment opportunity for 12 months to provide HR expertise and be a 2IC to the Manager while they focus on a few significant projects in 2024.

This role would suit someone looking to develop towards a manager role.

We are looking for a skilled HR practitioner who is pragmatic, supportive, customer focussed and able to:

  • Partner with leaders across Crown Law to provide expert HR advice
  • Provide backup and support to the HR Manager, including formally acting as times
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to our HR team
  • Partner with the culture and capability and payroll teams to ensure our work is well integrated and fits the needs of our people and leaders.
This role is Wellington based and located next to the Wellington bus and train station.

The appointing salary range for this role is $110,779 to $143,229 based on skills and experience.
