Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The Programme Coordinator will support the Manager FMD Preparedness to provide oversight, programme alignment and reporting to ensure the effective delivery of the policy aspects of the ambitious reform programme

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support risk management by co-ordinating risk workshops and managing risk registers
  • Support the development of the FMD Preparedness Work Programme, in line with MPI's vision and the strategic direction for New Zealand
  • Monitor and coordinate reporting on projects and initiatives that fit within the scope of the FMD Preparedness Programme
  • Contributing to the development or maintenance of project controls, frameworks and reporting to facilitate effective governance of a portfolio of projects
Mōu - About You

The Senior Programme Coordinator will be required to work in a varied, fast-paced role spanning multiple projects and pieces of work across MPI.

They must have excellent relationship management skills, confidence in project/programme reporting and risk management and be comfortable taking initiative in uncertainty.

They must also be adaptive to a changing environment and able to pivot and switch focus as necessary while supporting teams deliver their programmes efficiently and effectively.


We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Project/programme management experience or equivalent qualification
  • Successful experience as a participant in the delivery of work programmes
  • Experience in data gathering, verification and analysis; an eye for detail and taking a process approach to quality improvement
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including proven ability to adapt quickly to meet audience need
  • Proven ability to participate as a member of a team in ambiguous work environments
