This wider team is responsible for developing rail policy, securing funding, and reporting to monitoring agencies on KiwRail's capital investment programme.

As the Progamme Coordinator, you will support the programme and associated reporting requirements.

You will record and monitor KiwiRail's obligations to funders and ensure they are met on a monthly and quarterly basis.


You will also provide general admin support, as well as support our Project Managers to prepare responses to queries and information flow around the programme.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining reporting timetables, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
  • Developing processes to monitor compliance with funding agreements
  • Assist in the preparation of information requests
  • Recording minutes and actions from Programme Governance Boards
  • Collating monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Being a contact point for funding agencies, responding to queries as required
  • Providing admin support to the team, providing support to Project Managers

To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised and a quick learner with strong prioritisation skills.

You will have the ability to effectively manage tight deadlines and be able to present information in an engaging and informative manager to stakeholders at all levels.


Most importantly, you will have a strong willingness to learn and grow your experience, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can manage various priorities across multiple pieces of work.


Additionally:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to present information in an engaging and informative manner for stakeholders (including through powerpoint, excel etc)
  • Firstrate organisational skills and ability to effectively manage time pressure
  • Ability to work effectively manage priorities across various programmes
  • Strong willingness to learn, challenge and ask questions
  • NCEA Level 3 or equivalent
