Are you a passionate and positive self-starter who is looking for a challenge? We have a great opportunity for a Management Assistant & Coordinator, supporting the National Criminal Investigations Group (NCIG) Director and Leadership Team.

The NCIG are part of the Investigations Group and play an important role in supporting New Zealand Police's mission to prevent crime and harm through exceptional policing.

The purpose of the NCIG is to enhance investigative excellence through leading innovation, technology and specialist services.

This position plays a vital role by supporting the Director: NCIG and their leadership team with a wide range of administration tasks, ensuring a high level of service to both internal members of the group and the people we interact with.

As a Management Assistant & Coordinator you will demonstrate a high level of competence in a wide range of administration tasks and executive support.

In addition, you will possess well developed interpersonal skills, strong communication skills and have the ability to be discrete in relation to confidential matters.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate initiative and accountability
  • Be competent using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Ability to manage day to day office systems including diary management
  • Manage meeting coordination and related correspondence, eg
  • Minutes and Action points
  • Ability to create effective and appropriate communications
  • You will be positive, enthusiastic, approachable and welcoming

Utu ā-tau | Salary


This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $62,670 and $72,592 dependant on skills and experience relevant to the role.
