About the Role

  • We have a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and has the ability to motivate and support our Tangata Whaiora to engage in activities on the wards and, at times in the community. Maaori are significantly over represented across our service and you will need to have an understanding of inequity for Maaori. Being able to work with Maaori across all levels is essential to this role, so together we can achieve better outcomes for Maaori.

  • Ward 35 is situated within the Henry Rongomau Bennett centre, has 21 beds and provides 24 hour care to tangata whaiora experiencing acute mental illness. It's the perfect time to join this team. We have a brand new facility being built which will be ready for occupancy in 2026; you will get to work in a state of the art purpose built facility, where we aim to be delivering a service which is culturally led and clinically underpinned. Be part of leading this change, alongside a great team of managers, clinical leaders and Maaori including our taangata whaiora and whaanau.
