Permanent - 80 hours per fortnight

This role is a busy one, and you will need to hit the ground running.

You will undertake a variety of administrative tasks, therefore you must be an adaptable person with a willingness to embrace multitasking.

Outstanding communication skills are required and confidentiality is essential. You will also enjoy working to deadlines, and ensuring documentation is precise.

  • Key responsibilities of the role:
  • You will be part of the team who co-ordinate and support activities relating to the legislative requirements of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992 and Criminal Procedures (Mentally Impaired Persons) Act 2003 for services provided for Mental Health and Addiction Services.-
  • You will be required to provide accurate and efficient operation and maintenance of the administration systems and processes that enable the service to deliver quality outcomes for its customers, in particular those activities which enable DAMHS compliance requirements related to the Act.

  • Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
  • To be successful in this role you will have competent computer skills, be willing to help those around you when required and have a pleasant disposition.-
  • It would be advantageous that you have had previous experience working within a health/mental health setting, and knowledge of the Mental Health Act would be beneficial.-
  • However, your strong multi-tasking ability and demonstration of your organisational skills as an administrative professional will be an important consideration.

  • As one of five facilitators, you will work as part of the Mental Health Administration team. The administration team is a large team that spans the whole of the Waikato and supports the administrative functions for all mental health services. Facilitators work alongside all disciplines to ensure the legal process is fully supported.
