Te tūnga | The role

This role is permanent and based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington and reports to the Kaiwhakahaere - Kitenga Whiwhinga Moni, Rawakore hoki (Manager - Income & Poverty Insights).

The team is responsible for the production of official statistics from the Household Economic Survey.

The household income and housing-costs, and child poverty statistical releases are published annually and give insight in the economic wellbeing of households.

They also allow the government to monitor their progress towards reducing child poverty, as required by the Child Poverty Reduction Act 2018.

The main focus of the insights analyst role is to manage the releases of our statistical products, assessing data quality and produce valuable insights to our customers.
