We have an exceptional opportunity for a proven people leader to join our Commercial Banking leadership team leading our Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki teams.


Te tūranga | The role:


Reporting to the GM Commercial Banking, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki teams; leading them to achieve quality growth, management of operational and credit risk and with the ultimate goal of achieving good customer outcomes.


An active leader across the wider team with both your direct and indirect reports, you will be accountable for the leadership and performance across the region; fostering a collaborative team environment that enables your team to develop both professionally and personally through effective coaching, mentoring and leadership.

First and foremost, you will be a passionate people leader and know how to get the best from your team through your proven leadership capability including effective coaching, developing and mentoring.

You will have established relationships within the industry and be a strong networker with exceptional business development and negotiation skills which will ensure you drive business success and successful outcomes for our customers and our team.


This is a key senior leadership role, therefore you will have a sound ability to formulate and execute business plans, a solid understanding of credit and operational risk, and preferably relevant business / commercial experience.
