SEE Hamilton New Zealand site is looking for a talented and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee all plant engineering functions.

You will report to the Director of Manufacturing and ensure effective preventative and predictive maintenance and TPM systems are in place, capital programmes are completed on time and to budget and Lean methodologies are implemented resulting in ongoing manufacturing improvement at the site.


Key responsibilities includes but not limited to:

Overall accountability for all Engineering activities at the Hamilton site including, plant, building & ground maintenance, fire alarms and sprinklers, security, power and water services.

Ensuring full preventative maintenance and TPM programmes are in place to meet and exceed OEE targets.
Lead capital programmes to budget and on time.
Responsible for Employment, Management and Training of the Hamilton Engineering Services Team members including apprentices.
Responsible for the maintenance of the Hamilton Asset Registers and other associated duties including SOX Testing - Asset Impairment & Disposal
Responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the Hamilton Site's Asset Protection Services.
Responsible for the coordination of the Hamilton Business Continuity Plans.
Responsible for the coordination of the payment approval process for the Hamilton Power & Gas, Rates and Water accounts.

Responsible for the preparation and coordination of the Hamilton Capital proposals and manage the capital projects that are approved, within budget and on time.

Responsible for the development/preparation/management of the Maintenance and Capital expenditure Budgets.

Responsible for ensuring the Hamilton Engineering Services Teams adhere to the 9 drivers of safety and always maintain the highest levels of safety excellence.

Required to attend and actively participates in the weekly Site and EBU meetings.
Required to cascades communications from the weekly and EBU meetings, where appropriate to the Hamilton Engineering Services Team

About the Person:

Tertiary Degree:
preferably engineering.

Lean / Six Sigma Training - Green Belt or higher (advantageous)
Minimum of 5 years Engineering management experience.
Demonstrated senior leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Direct management of a professional team
Delivery of business improvement projects and initiatives
Facilitation of groups/teams in meetings, problem solving, decision making etc.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong business acumen
