About the opportunity


As our new Maintenance Services Manager at our Canpac site, your role will be to provide hands-on leadership, mentoring and coaching to the Canpac Maintenance and Services Team, to achieve operational excellence, deliver on performance targets and objectives, and foster a thriving environment, where everyone has the chance to be their best.


As an integral member of the site leadership and operations team you'll play a critical part in ensuring the site operations goals are met.

Key responsibilities include delivering upon maintenance needs and maintenance planning and scheduling, reducing operational downtime, process compliance as well as the strong engagement and development of your team.

You'll also be the Site Pillar Lead for Preventative Maintenance (PM) under our IWS structure and will become a part of the National PM Pillar team.


About you
You'll have great coaching abilities, bringing your leadership skills and experience from a relevant technical background. You will be highly collaborative with the ability to work with a diverse range of people.

Other relevant skills and experience include:

  • Exceptional team leadership skills
  • Trade certified, tertiary qualification in engineering (process, mechanical, electrical) or a strong handson background with experience in maintenance
  • Proven ability to implement continuous improvement within a team
  • Strong problemsolving skills with examples of reducing operational downtime
  • Experience managing a budget as well as relevant systems exposure such as SAP or equivalent
  • IWS experience is an advantage, as is paediatric plant knowledge and standards.
