About the role
The Logistics Coordinator at Rocket Lab is responsible for domestic and international shipping and freight forwarding.


There are hundreds of components that are used to manufacture Electron's Launch Vehicle that globally sourced and or are moved domestically and internationally between Rocket Lab manufacturing sites and this role will actively manage the logístical movements of these items.

This role is responsible for managing domestic and international logistics between Rocket Lab USA and other sites and suppliers, including the adherence to ITAR and other export regulations applicable.


Essential skills

  • Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or High school diploma and 4+ years of relative experience
  • Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Typically requires additional specialized training and/or certification.
  • Exposure to international shipping regulations, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding and customs regulations.
  • International Air Transportation Association, (IATA) / International Maritime Dangerous Good (IMDG) knowledge.
  • Strong IT knowledge, comfortable working with Windows.
  • Experience working with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • A cando attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build working relationships.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP Systems.
  • Prior experience in highpaced, rapid growth environment.
