The scope of this project is to complete the fit out and installation of new Digital Radio technology into all Police fleet (including frontline vehicles, specialist vehicles, covert vehicles, helicopters, and marine vessels).
The Fleet Logistics Lead will reside with the Police Fleet Services Group, with a direct reporting line into the PSN programme.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the delivery process and ensure timely and efficient delivery of the Fleet plans without compromising operational capability for impacted staff and workgroups. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with demonstrated management and leadership experience who can effectively collaborate with various teams and external partners to deliver a complex programme of work. Experience in large and complex organisations or programmes of work is essential.

- Manage delivery, including routing, scheduling, vehicle allocation, and any other activities required to deliver the programme of work.
- Monitor delivery performance metrics to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with Fleet Service Group, and Police Districts and workgroups to leverage their technical expertise and local knowledge where required.
- Coordinate with all vendors and service providers to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Address delivery challenges and resolve (or escalate as appropriate to the programme) any issues that may arise during pilot and national migration roll-out.
- Organise resources and maintain their scheduling for vehicle relocations and/or movements
- Monitor and maintain fleet related documentation, project tasks and fleet planning on behalf of the PSN Project Team
- Lead and manage a team of delivery staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Continuously manage Fleet logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement in delivery efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.**He aha taau e kawe mai | What you’ll bring**
