We are currently seeking to employ a Transformer Maintainer to provide maintainer services to Omexom, covering substation equipment maintenance services expected of a qualified maintainer.

About the Role

Come join our amazing team in Mt. Wellington

Installing Transformers and other high voltage equipment, as per job instructions and specifications, meeting current regulations and standards
Performing high voltage maintenance and construction work to client specifications
Identifying unscheduled work to ensure that client equipment is fully maintained
Responding to emergency fault breakdown work within planned response times
Determines requirements for installation of appliance/equipment, e.g., type, size, position, consulting with client or supervisor as necessary.
Ensuring optimal reliability and performance of the client's plant and equipment by completing projects and maintenance work on time and to requirement
Complying and co-operating with any reasonable instruction, policy, or procedure by the company to allow the company to comply with their duties and obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act
Reporting any events/incidents as soon as reasonably practical, and stopping work and reporting concerns to the immediate supervisor if there are concerns for personal safety
Travel within New Zealand to carry out installation and maintenance activities

About you

Trade qualification as an electrical or mechanical fitter or maintainer.
Transformer installation and maintenance expérience essential
EWRB registration with current electrical registration
Hands-on experience in substations and other high voltage electrical work to industry standards.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Works well within a team environment or independently
High level of problem-solving skills
Possess a valid full and clean Class 1 NZ driver's license
