Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

Audit New Zealand | Mana Arotake Aotearoa is the leading provider of audit and assurance services to the public sector.

We're committed to delivering the highest quality service to our public sector clients.

We're looking for an Information Systems Audit and Assurance Services (ISAA) Specialist to join the team, to ensure appropriate information systems, audit and assurance methodologies, and procedures are in place.

You'll be bringing your experience to a small, collaborative team reporting to the ISAA director. This role can be based in either our Auckland or Wellington office.

Ideally, you'll:

- have three years' of IS audit experience (preferably in external audit) and be qualified, or be working towards qualifying, as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); or
- hold a Chartered Accountant qualification with three years' post-qualification experience (preferably in external audit), have an understanding of IS audit concepts, and be working towards qualifying as a CISA; or
- be a technical IT specialist working in an IT risk management or assurance role.

You'll bring to the role:

- a solid knowledge of technical computer concepts related to hardware architecture, databases, software, and security;
- experience evaluating project implementation;
- knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and leading practice IT procedures; and
- an understanding of the concepts of general IT and automated controls (experience identifying and testing these would be highly beneficial).

Familiarity with data analytics tools will also be an advantage.

In this role, you'll be focusing on:

  • building and maintaining strong working relationships with appointed auditors, senior staff at client organisations, your team, and staff in the Office of the Auditor-General;
- ensuring all aspects of IS audit and assurance work are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with Quality Control Manual expectations and relevant professional standards;
- understanding the IS that various clients operate, and using their expertise to assess the audit risks associated with those IS; and
- sharing your IS audit knowledge and expertise with clients so that they can maximise the value from ISAA work.

You'll get to work with great people who are passionate about what they do and committed to building a great working environment.

Because you'll be dealing with a wide range of clients throughout the country, frequent travel might be required.

The work schedule is generally five days per week (Monday to Friday), 40 hours per week, with a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000.
