At our Wellington campus, we teach medicine, radiation therapy, physiotherapy, postgraduate qualifications and papers, and undertake a wide variety of health-based research.


_The role/Te mahi_


In this Executive Assistant role, you will provide confidential and high-level secretarial and administrative support services, across a range of complex issues, to support a senior leader.

You will be working as part of the Shared Services team, flexibly providing administrative services across the University. A strong customer service orientation and commitment to continuous improvement initiatives is critical to your success.

Accountabilities include:

  • Being the point of contact for a senior leader, anticipating needs, and analysing and assessing requests in order to screen and prioritise urgent matters, troubleshooting and initiating action to facilitate resolution and problem solving.
  • Drafting, preparing, coordinating and reviewing information, highlevel communication and documents on a range of matters.
  • Diary management, correspondence, meeting administration and organising travel arrangements.


Due to the nature of the Shared Services Division, the range of tasks and responsibilities is broad and may require performing duties based either at our CBD or Newtown campus.

  • Proven experience working in an administrative/secretarial role in a busy or complex environment.
  • Experience working for a senior manager/executive in an environment where confidentiality, judgement and discretion are paramount would be advantageous.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service to customers.
  • An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for our students, staff and visitors.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
