Auckland Forecasting Centre Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the AFC team by setting strategic goals, driving model development, and overseeing work programs.
  • Provide exceptional people leadership, guiding the team through potential changes and driving business improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with Boards, governance groups, senior executives, and external consultants to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a strong business sense, driving the team in new directions while maintaining a focus on stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in people leadership, especially in times of potential change and business improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • An understanding of traffic modelling and demand forecasting is desirable.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical details and effectively communicate with technical experts.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to drive the team in a new direction.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder and customer focus.
