Due to an internal move, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join our NZ leadership team as an Area Manager to manage our Hamilton office.

As an Area Manager, you will be the regional face of AECOM.

You will represent the AECOM brand to our strong local and national client base and advance our regional strategy to grow and strengthen our local business.


As a member of AECOM's national leadership team, you will also play a part in guiding our national business to develop and implement new business initiatives, lead major pursuits and deliver our national business plan.


In conjunction with our national Business Line Leaders, the role will sell the full AECOM offering and support our local must win pursuits, whilst continuing to develop and maintain key relationships with local industry leaders and external AECOM partners.


You will combine client relationship expertise, people management skills, business skills, commercial acumen, and technical knowledge, whilst balancing risk (including health and safety) and opportunities to deliver a profitable and growing business valued by our employees and clients.


Qualifications


The Area Manager role is for someone who enjoys using their technical expertise and professional skills to navigate an ever-changing business landscape.

You will understand industry and market trends, identify key opportunities and develop relationships that put us top of mind with our core clients.


You will be a proven communicator with an ability to connect with a diverse range of professional disciplines and develop positive working relationships that will bring the best of AECOM's global strengths to our Waikato / Bay of Plenty projects.


The role requires a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline along with extensive industry experience and successful a track record in your field of expertise.

The role provides an excellent opportunity for an emerging people and market leader to step into a leadership role within an established team and supportive environment.
