Allflex Livestock Intelligence is a Livestock portfolio of digital products within our Animal Health Division.


As the 'voice of the customer'; your role is a vital link between product development and selling
Allflex Animal Health Intelligence solutions in an assigned area to achieve sales.

Your role is responsible for selling automation and monitoring systems and peripheral devices, to meet budgeted targets for sales volumes and gross profit - within a designated territory.

In achieving this result, you will build and own, in an ongoing way, the relationship with your customers. You will be based in the field within your defined territory and report to the Sales Lead.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Achieve sales targets and activity levels for assigned territory and Allflex products
  • Develop and implement territory plans to achieve sales targets, regularly revising activity against achievement
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and clients e.g. Farmers, Business Managers, Farm Managers, veterinarians, etc.
  • Utilize Technical Advisors within territory to influence customers and clients to assist in delivery of technical messaging and drive sales
  • Leverage strong business relationships to deliver business results
  • Identify customer needs and clearly communicate how our companies Animal Health products and services can provide solutions
  • Effectively articulates the value of companies Animal Health products versus other options
  • Identify and participate in all promotions with the goal of maximizing sales
  • Provide technical and sales training activities to distributors/partners to ensure proper messaging is being transferred to the end user
  • Ensure product complaint investigation, pricing queries, compliance issues and follow up requests are executed appropriately and within required timelines
  • Provide corporate sales presentations to relevant consumer groups, customers & distributors
  • Regularly analyze customer data to assist with territory, customer and precall planning, and the identification and targeting of high value customers

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Sales
  • this role requires experience and skill in rural sales. A proven track record in sales is essential, and experience in sales of products or services to dairy farmers will be a particular advantage. Experience in training or supporting farm staff will also be an advantage.

Communication skills - this role requires the communication of complex technical ideas to a range of audiences from farmhands through to multi-million-dollar business owners and corporate accounts.

Customer servicing - the role requires an excellent and demonstrable commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs. This includes an ability to constructively deal with customer complaints, and to work with customers to find solutions to challenges that might present themselves.

Influence - in order to achieve their objectives, the job holder will need to demonstrate an ability to work with and influence a number of others they have no line management responsibility for. This includes internal staff and external parties (contractors, other organizations that can provide referrals).

Time management - this role will require excellent time management, as the position holder seeks to manage demands from customers in geographically diverse parts of their region. The position holder should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.

Technical expertise - a primary requirement of the role, the job holder will be able to demonstrate some understanding of electronics, mechanical engineering, and, as well as having high levels of computer literacy will be a fast learner of complex software as they are applied to an animal management system.
