Our Wellington team is currently seeking an experienced Programme Coordinator to become an integral member of our Central Water Business Group.

The role will provide project support to project managers, programme lead and technical delivery leads to ensure projects conform to both GHD's internal quality and financial controls systems and Wellington Water (WWL) programme requirements.

Work together with the Programme Lead and PMO by implementing consistent workflows and processes in the efficient and successful delivery of programmes and/or projects

Support the execution of project progress management including programme tracking, and assist with project financial activities and contract documentation


Provide Project management to small low risk/single-discipline project delivery where agreed appropriate with the Programme Lead, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, to time, quality and budget.

Meet client objectives, scope and other requirements whilst protecting GHD's entitlement and reducing its exposure to corporate risk events.

Key responsibilities will include:

Health and Safety

  • Ensure the safety of those involved on the programme projects.
  • Illustrate support and compliance with the requirements of the GHD Health and Safety Management System and Management Participation Matrix.

Contract management

  • Ensure consultancy agreement has followed the GHD QMS processes and has been agreed with WWL.

Planning

  • Work with the Programme Project Manager's to ensure the project schedule is incorporated into GHD's internal resourcing and financial systems.

Cost Control

  • Setup and maintain GHD finance management systems to accurately report project financial forecasts and maintain an acceptable cashflow status.
  • Work with the Programme Project Manager's to help them manage costs in a proactive manner to ensure the project is delivered within budget. Utilisation of earned value techniques to proactively identify potential cost overruns, implement mitigation steps and accurately forecast cost at completion.

Quality

  • Plan and manage project quality throughout the project lifecycle.
The following focus areas need to be taken into consideration:

  • Project delivery quality
  • This will be focused on the GHD project management framework and mandatory requirements and the requirements of the WWL quality system;


Technical delivery quality
  • This will be focused on ensuring the quality of GHD's technical deliverables;


Construction quality control
  • This will look at how the construction work quality will be managed.

  • Quality understanding project financial management, in particular Earned Value Measurement
