About the Job
Citycare Property is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Christchurch City Council Open Spaces team.

In this vital role, you'll be responsible for managing contract work, guiding staff in both planned and reactive tasks, and ensuring compliance training for our dynamic Open Spaces team.

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be a role model, mentor, and key driver of success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively managing plant, materials, and staff/subcontractors to achieve budget goals and compliance.
  • Leading, training, and supervising staff to ensure exceptional competence and teamwork.
  • Upholding Health and Safety standards, ensuring adherence to Citycare Policies and Procedures.
  • Enhancing operational efficiency and customer relationships to optimize contract financial returns.
  • Excelling in asset management to achieve contractual KPIs and monthly targets.
To thrive in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A relevant qualification or certification, preferably a National Certificate applicable to the role.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry, showcasing expertise in Horticulture and Maintenance practices.
  • Experience in Contract Management (desirable)
  • A strong dedication to customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and communicate effectively.
  • Proficient time management, planning, and process management skills.
  • The ability to drive operational improvements and efficiencies.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
