Beef Boning Supervisor

ANZCO Foods Canterbury have an opportunity for a Beef Boning Supervisor to join the team.

The role reports to the Beef Production Manager and would suit a self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills and experience in beef processing or a similar environment.

The purpose of the role will be to ensure operating efficiencies are maximised and quality and product specification standards are maintained within the department.


Duties and Responsibilities will include but won't be limited to:

  • Providing leadership and supervision to employees to ensure that production plans are met
  • Ensuring sufficient labour is organised for the department and staff receive appropriate training for their position
  • Ensuring that the department is maintained in a hygienic condition for handling meat including responsibility for pre and post operative hygiene checks and MPI requirements are adhered to
  • Assisting with projects as required by ANZCO management
  • Ensuring working processes are consistently complied with
  • Completing all documentation and administration requirements for the department to required deadlines
  • Ensuring plant downtime is minimised by liaising with maintenance employees regarding repair and maintenance records
  • Completing and distributing reports for management as set down from time to time by ANZCO management

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in the meat or food related industry
  • Strong leadership skills and be selfmotived
  • A strong understanding of quality control and MPI requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills and intermediate computer knowledge
  • Team leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate, direct people and build solid working relationships across all levels of the company
  • Effective time management and prioritisation of tasks in order to meet agreed deadlines
