Due to a strong pipeline of work and many exciting projects and opportunities across Waikato / Bay of Plenty regions, we are excited to be growing our team here in Hamilton.

The primary focus of the role is to carry out CAD for civil infrastructure projects, especially transportation and three-waters (civil).

The role will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of drawing production and CAD management where required, and includes drawing and drawing number set up, general CAD in coordination with the wider project delivery group, manage assigned budgets and timelines of tasks assigned to the role.

The role includes the responsibility to coordinate design outputs with other disciplines to generate complete packages of deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes technical drawing and drawing production using AutoCAD and other design tools such as AutoTURN.
  • Deliver accurate and timely CAD drawings to agreed deadlines, standards (industry and project), and following instruction, tasks, or the project plan.
  • Contributes to a complete and integrated set of CAD drawings by working cooperatively with team members or design contributors.
  • Identifies improvements to enhance our service to clients.
  • Keeps abreast of current industry issues and best practice related to the responsibilities of the role.
  • Takes personal responsibility and ownership for the delivery of tasks.
  • Be responsible for selfchecking and verification of drawing production to ensure delivery of quality project documentation.
  • Contributes to client satisfaction through being responsive, timely and effective in all deliverables and communication.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements2 years' relevant experience.

  • Has the ability to plan and set up drawings and numbers for design layouts.
  • Working knowledge of standard draughting practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in CAD drafting and meeting delivery requirements.
  • Good understanding of AutoCAD and a broader understanding of all the Autodesk suite of tools.
  • The ability to use other packages like vehicle tracking software, etc. is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification is a benefit.
